Cabex-2026: First Results

From March 10 to 12, Moscow hosted the 24th International Exhibition for Cable and Wire Products, Equipment and Materials for Their Production — Cabex 2026, one of the key events in the industry.

This year, the exhibition brought together more than 200 companies from Russia, China, Turkey, India, Kazakhstan, and Belarus. The exposition was visited by over 4,000 specialists responsible for selecting cable and wire products, materials, and equipment for their production.

Among the visitors were managers and procurement specialists from major enterprises, including representatives of  Rosseti, Russian Railways, Severstal, Surgutneftegaz, Sakhalinenergo, MTS, Metrostroy of the Northern Capital, Transneft Electrosetservice, Yakovlev PJSC, LUKOIL-Energoseti, Rosenergoatom, Rostelecom, SPO Arktika and other companies.

Traditionally, the exhibition hosted the International Scientific and Technical Conference named after Professor I. B. Peshkov “Cable Industry. Science. Technology. Production”, where leading scientists and industry experts discussed key issues related to the development of the sector.

In addition to the conference, the Cabex-2026 business program covered a wide range of relevant topics. The focus of expert discussions included:

• requirements of customers and regulators;

• standards and safety of cable products;

• technological solutions for energy, infrastructure, transport, and digital projects;

• import substitution and the search for alternative suppliers.

Traditional competitions were also held as part of Cabex-2026.
The “Best Innovative Product 2026” competition recognized advanced developments in the “Cables and Wires” and “Electrical Installation Products” categories. The evaluation was conducted by an expert jury consisting of specialists from VNIIKP and the Elektrokabel Association.
 

In the “Cables and Wires” category:

• 1st place — Elektrokabel Kolchugino Plant and VNIIKP for the joint development of a self-supporting protected wire for 20 and 35 kV;

• 2nd place — Paritet Cable Plant for the development of a polyurethane-sheathed patch cord and other materials;

• 3rd place — Spetskabel for medical cables.
   

In the “Electrical Installation Products” category:

• 1st place — Izolyator-VV for dry termination joints;

• 2nd place — Raytek for shielded adapters.

The “RusCable.Ru Creative Race 2025–2026” competition, organized by MVK and the media holding RusCable.Ru, also took place during the exhibition. The competition recognized the best marketing and PR teams in the industry.
 

The business program concluded with the award ceremony for the “Marketing Under Voltage” competition, where participants demonstrated the effectiveness of marketing tools used to attract partners and visitors to the exhibition. Winners and prize recipients received commemorative diplomas and gifts from the organizers.

The final results were as follows:

• 1st place — Akron Holding (144 invited partners);

• 2nd place — Lyudinovokabel (78 invited partners);

• 3rd place — Cable Alliance Holding (50 invited partners).
