Cabex 2026: Cable Solutions for Key Industries

 

As part of the exhibition’s business programme, the annual International Science and Technology Conference named after Professor I.B. Peshkov – "Cable Industry. Science. Technology. Production.", will be held.

The thematic sessions of the business programme will focus on the application of cable technologies in key industries: transport engineering, power engineering, the telecommunications sector, IT, and the robotics sector.

More than 190 companies from Russia, China, Turkey, India, Kazakhstan, and Belarus will present cables, wires, cable accessories, electrical installation and electrotechnical products, as well as equipment and materials for the production of cable and wire products.

In the Cables and Wires section, the following companies will showcase their latest products: Akron Holding, Alur, Beltelecabel, Kavkazkabel TM Cable Factory, Konkord, Kaluga Cable Plant, OKB KP, Ludinovocable, Russian Cable Company, Rybinskcable, Saranskkabel-Optika, SCC Trade House, Sentek, Spetscabel Factory, MKZ Industrial Group, Uncomtech, EM-Cable, Elektrotechnmash, Zavod Energokabel, NPO Farial (Scientific and production association Farial), Flexicore, Cable Alliance Holding, and others.

 

Equipment for cable and wire production will be showcased by U-Technology Group, Chinacable.ru, Habsans, Xinda Rus, and others.

In the Materials for Cable Production section, the following companies will present their products: Bashplast, Gavary Compounds, KamKat, Leader-Compound, PK Poligran, Tehinvest-M, Elinar Holding Company, Uralelektromed, Epromet, and others.

Electrical installation equipment will be showcased by Izolyator-VV, PZEMI, Raytech, Transenergo, Energoinnovatsii, KBT Electrotechnical Plant, Uniprof, and others.

U-Technology Group will present a new product at the exhibition – a high-speed double-twist stranding machine F630, featuring one of the highest speeds in its class: a maximum speed of 3,000 rpm and an operating speed of 2,800 rpm.
The KBT Electrotechnical Plant will showcase a comprehensive solution for installers – “KBT Cable Joints + KBT Specialised Tools” – for cable preparation and joint installation, as well as new products in the field of battery-powered tools.

Minskcable will present indoor distribution optical cables and flame-retardant indoor distribution optical cables, designed for use in local area networks (LANs), for connecting active equipment to backbone lines, as well as for installation within buildings.

Rika Group will present heat-shrinkable cable joints, including TheMyFTA, KTIK (heat-shrinkable cable joint for medium-voltage cables), and KTIS (heat-shrinkable cable joint for medium-voltage cables) for cables with voltages of 1, 6, 10, 15, 20 and 35 kV. The company will also showcase heat-shrinkable tubes, including TUT (standard heat-shrinkable tube), TTTng (flame-retardant heat-shrinkable tube), TTr (reinforced heat-shrinkable tube), as well as cold-shrink tubes TXU (cold-shrink installation tube).

The main event of the exhibition’s business programme will traditionally be the International Science and Technology Conference named after Professor I.B. Peshkov, "Cable Industry. Science. Technology. Production.", organised by VNIIKP and the Electrocable Association.

Topics of the conference include:

• The current state and development prospects of the cable industry in the Russian Federation.
• Export and import support tools.
• Prospects for the use of superconducting materials in cable technology.
• High-voltage and extra-high-voltage cables in the Russian Federation: achievements, challenges and prospects.
• Development of halogen-free, fire-safe cross-linked polymer compositions.
• Development and study of a polypropylene-based thermoplastic compound for use in the construction of self-supporting insulated wires.
• Peroxide-crosslinked polyethylenes for high-voltage cables.
• GOST R 72467-2025 “Rubbers and Rubber Compounds for the Cable Industry” as a tool for quality control of rubbers in cable manufacturing.
• Features of measuring the parameters of multimode optical fibres.

The thematic sessions will explore cable solutions across various industries.
Speakers in the business programme will include representatives of professional associations, scientific and technical specialists, industry experts, and representatives of relevant enterprises and government bodies.
 

As part of the exhibition, an innovation competition will be held among participants, aimed at highlighting the most advanced achievements in the cable industry, as well as recognising significant improvements to existing products on the market.
The winners will be selected in three categories: “Cables and Wires”, “Materials for Cable Production”, and “Electrical Installation Products”.

A comprehensive evaluation of the innovative developments will be carried out by an expert jury, including specialists from VNIIKP and the Electrocable Association, who have extensive scientific and practical experience in the creation and implementation of high-tech cable products.

The award ceremony will take place on 11 March at 12:45.
