The Cabex Exhibition Directorate took part in the 87th General Assembly of the Electrocable Association in Tashkent.

On September 16, the 87th General Assembly of the Electrocable Association opened in Tashkent, with the Cabex exhibition directorate taking part. The event brought together about 140 participants, including 120 association members and 20 invited guests.

President of the Electrocable Association, Maksim Tretyakov, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech, emphasizing the importance of the event and introducing the new members of the professional community.

In the plenary session, Igor Kamynin, Deputy Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Uzbekistan, delivered an overview of the state of the Uzbek market and the prospects it offers for Russian cable businesses. He noted the country’s steady economic growth and highlighted the electrical engineering sector as one of the most dynamic: since 2018, export volumes have increased sevenfold, and the supply geography has expanded to 63 countries. At the same time, a strong dependence on imported high-tech products persists, which opens opportunities for the localization of Russian production.

Competition remains the key challenge for Russian companies. According to the Trade Mission representative, operating in the Uzbek market will require a strategic approach with a 2–5-year horizon and active use of business support tools.

Cabex Exhibition Director Yulia Malinina noted:

The following day, on September 17, the program continued with a technical tour of the UZKABEL plant. The delegation visited the production lines for wire rod, cable products, and PVC materials, and also learned about the organization of the plant’s operations.

«We were impressed by the scale of production, the wide range of products manufactured, and the high level of the plant’s technical equipment. I would especially like to highlight the impeccable organization of labor and the outstanding qualifications of the specialists, which are undoubtedly key factors in the company’s success. The visit allowed us not only to assess the production capacities, but also to see that Uzkabel is a modern, dynamically developing enterprise that plays a crucial role in the industry».
