11 April 2024 Press release From the 19th to th 21st of March, 2024, the 22nd International Exhibition for Cable and Wire Products, Equipment, and Materials for their Production Cabex took place at the Expocentre IEC. This year, the exhibition featured 250 companies from Russia, China, Turkey, Germany, Iran, India, Kazakhstan, and Belarus. Compared to last year, the number of exhibitors increased by 64%, and the exhibition space almost doubled, reaching over 10,900 square meters. Cabex 2024 was attended by 5,411 specialists, 60% of whom visited the exhibition for the first time. The majority, 94% of visitors, were from Russia (63% from Moscow and the Moscow region, 31% from other regions), while 6% represented foreign companies from Belarus, China, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Abkhazia, Iran, Armenia, Germany, Italy, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, and India. The target audience of the exhibition included leaders and specialists from specialised trade enterprises, construction and installation organisations, companies who are end customers of cables, wires, and related products from mechanical engineering, instrument-making, oil and gas sector, energy complex, telecommunications, and communications. 67% of visitors were executives and deputy executives of companies and department heads. The business programme included 3 conferences with over 700 delegates and more than 50 industry experts participating. Exhibition exposition and participants' feedback Most exhibiting companies presented their products in four main sections of the exhibition: "Cables and Wires," "Materials for Cable and Wire Production," "Equipment for Cable and Wire Production," and "Electrical Installation Equipment." The exhibition featured cable and wire products and everything necessary for their production — from materials to equipment — as well as related products: cable drums, power electronic products, lubricants, automation tools, and more. At Cabex 2024, 90 companies presented their products for the first time, including DataCable; TekhnokabeL, SPC, LLC; Verkhnevolzhsky Electric Cable Plant; Polymeralliance, LLC; Compaq International; PK "Poligran"; Linetec Makine; Kabkom; Universal Cable, LLC; Armatech group, and others. Companies, who have returned to exhibiting, included Gerda, Industrial Science Enterprise; Konkord, LLC; MKZ, Industrial Group; Russian Cable Company; For Rus; Izolyator-AKS, LLC; Global Printing Systems; Estralin PS, LLC; and others. This year, an expanded exposition of Chinese manufacturers was presented at the exhibition — 82 companies, including leading industry players such as Shanghai NanYang Electrical Equipment; Hefei Smarter Technology Group; Xinming; Ruiyang Group Northeast Cable. Exhibitor list Most participants of Cabex 2024 noted an increase in number of visitors and higher activity among all players in the cable and wire products market. "The exhibition is very lively, very busy," – shared Vitalika Gubernatorova, head of external and internal communications department at R&P Polyplastic. – "We have participated before, but this year we’ve noticed an audience growth, both at our stand and at the exhibition as a whole. On the first day, we had over 20 meetings — for us, that's a lot." Sergey Snezhko, marketing director at Uncomtech, noted the significant presence of foreign participants: "We have been exhibiting at Cabex for many years, and we always have positive impressions. This year, there are many foreign participants, not just from China but also from Iran, India, and other countries on the friendly list. We are the largest company in the cable industry, and it was important for us to showcase all the new products we have developed over the past year. We certainly achieved the goals we’ve set." Sigma Corporation, a developer and manufacturer of cable couplings, made its debut at the exhibition this year. Ksenia Rusakova, head of the company's marketing department, highlighted the high activity of visitors and participants: "Compared to other exhibitions, we saw a large flow of visitors here. On the first day, we received about 50 contacts — that's great. We have already booked our participation for the next year." Ekaterina Reznikova, director of the Customer Support Center at Akron Holding Group, noted the presence if new audience at the exhibition: "We were pleasantly surprised to find new counterparts here — the audience has been updated. The venue is fantastic, and we are very happy that it gets better every year." Yan Min Jing, chief export manager at Hangzhou Jayuan Industrial, highlighted the visitors' interest in Chinese products and the high professional level of exhibition attendees: "Very good impression after the first day of the exhibition — a lot of visitors. Russian clients are professional in their requests. This year, we brought various types of wires, which Russian clients showed interest in. Also, our regular partners placed new orders at the exhibition, significantly increasing volumes." Business Programme As part of the Cabex exhibition business programme, three industry events took place: the International science and technology conference named after Professor I.B. Peshkov "Cable Industry. Science. Technology. Production"; "State and Prospects of Development of the Construction Industry in Russia" conference; "Topical Issues of Cable and Wire Products Manufacturing Industry" conference. Business programme participants included over 700 delegates and more than 50 industry experts, representatives of profiled enterprises, and government structures, who discussed current issues in the cable industry during the conferences. Traditionally, the exhibition hosted the "Best Innovative Product-2024" competition, where the winning companies, whose innovative solutions were recognised as most promising and significant for the cable industry's development, were determined. An expert jury comprising specialists from JSC VNIIKP and the International Association "Electrocable" identified the winners in three categories: "Cables and wires", "Materials for cable production", and "Electrical installation products". The exhibition also featured the annual competition for PR specialists and marketing departments, RusCable PR-challenge, organised by MVK company and industry media holding RusCable.Ru. This year, 12 companies became winners. At Cabex 2024, an official opening ceremony of the Representative office of the Association of Chinese Cable Manufacturers in Russia took place. The establishment of the Association’s representative office will enable domestic companies to receive information about innovations and technical specifications of products and equipment produced in China in Russian language, as well as interact on other matters. In 2025, the Cabex exhibition will take place from the 18th to the 20th of March at Expocentre IEC, in the "Forum" pavilion, and pavilion 8 (halls 2, 3). Book a stand
